Stereotype gets to know KFM’s Jeremy Harris

A family man at heart, with many talents under his belt, Jeremy Harris tells us more about the man who has been behind the microphone for the past 17 years.

Jeremy is a registered spinning instructor, an ex-rugby and cricket player too, which makes him fit to be the sports presenter on the Kfm breakfast with Ryan O’Connor. When he’s not in studio he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. “A perfect day is spent with them,” he says.

With 2 qualifications in marketing, Jeremy got hooked into the media frenzy and hasn’t said goodbye since 1994. He also co-presented a TV show Off the Hook in his earlier years but finds himself drawn to music because he believes an ‘evolution in broadcasting’ is going to occur and he wishes to be part of it.

Jeremy encourages others to learn as much as possible and aim higher than what they are familiar with. He displays these elements when presenting his own shows on radio; and says that his personality makes a difference in a show, which would be the case in varying shows and personalities that would appeal to other listeners. “Music can be a comforter or companion depending on a situation,” is what Jeremy said when asked what he believes the role of music is in society today.

With all things rosy, he does have his concerns about our economy and worldly issues.‘Poverty and conflict’ are the two biggest problems today, according to Jeremy. And he jokes that “you can’t always get Pine Nut cool drink in stock.”

Passion, positivity and humility has brought Jeremy to where he is today. He has recently found a new love in cooking, and we’re pretty sure he’ll make a success of that too.
