With their roots firmly planted in Cape Town, Knish prides itself as being born and bred in the mother city. Established by Earl Martin and Noel Solomon, this company started out doing predominantly event photography, but has since branched out into various fields of visual media, including fashion and studio portraiture. Their style can be classified as documentary/journalistic for events and retro/urban for portrait and fashion.

Individually they each bring their own fresh approach to photography, Noel having the eye for detail and Earl with creative flair. Incorporating fashion photography into their portfolio has enabled Knish to be associated with the likes of Red Bow, Chrome, Spice Culture and more recently Debut Clothing. Their goal for the future is to further branch out into the fashion industry, creating partnerships with local fashion labels.
