Blessed with an amazing vocal talent, and growing up in a musical family – Byron was very involved in musical events and choirs in his community, all the while strengthening his musical ability and knowledge. Byron credits his mother, a music teacher and opera conductor as well as other talented local music legends as his musical influences and his sources of inspiration.

Byron has just released his debut album “Self Inflicted” with StereoType Records. Co-written by Lester Hein and Chad Saaiman with production duties handled by Ebrahim Mallum, the album is out now on StereoType Records.

UPDATE: Self Inflicted has been nominated for best RnB/Neo Soul album at the 16th Annual South African Music Awards!

I had the honour of having Byron play a couple of his tunes live in my Living room last night. How awesome is that?
