Lester Hein

A native of Cape Town South Africa, Lester Hein is currently the Marketing Director for StereoType Records. His entry into the music industry started straight out of high school with a DJ career on UCT Radio. Many late night radio shows and gigs later, Lester embarked on an internship at Mother City Records where, under the tutelage of Cape Town hit maker Craig Damster, he learned not only the art of music production, but also the skills required to run a successful record label.

A chance meeting with Chad Saaiman sparked a friendship as well as a musical bond which would exist for 5 years before StereoType Records brought the two together again for a collaboration on ‘Justified,’ a track now featured on Chad Saaiman’s debut album ‘Chasing Melodies.’

A songwriter and producer in his own right, Lester has helped pen Byron Clarke‘s debut album ‘Self Inflicted‘ in addition to being the executive producer on the project. His own productions have had radio play both locally and abroad with Inadiflo’s ‘Get on Up” topping SA charts and his own production ‘Let Me Take You’ was signed to the Aduro Dance Label in London.

Lester Hein currently resides in San Jose, Costa Rica.

    How’s Gwynneth oh my gosh what a small world please tell her i say HI and i miss her loads and this comes from Deidre Daniels a.k.a DD i know that this is many moons ago and she probably don’t remember me but we use to work together at Mr. Price in Canal Walk! LOL!
